Schwinn and Stamina are known brands while Marcy was new to us, so lets start with the first on our comparison chart.
This was the cheapest of the three budget recumbent exercise bikes, we were really pleased with this bike seeing that it was so cheap. It comes with 8 levels of preset resistance and also has a easy to use computer display that tracks time, speed, distance and how many calories burned.
The counterbalanced pedals with adjustable foot straps were a nice extra feature and also we liked that it had wheels on it so we could move it around with ease.
This recumbent exercise bike is really comfortable to use and you can have a great workout while watching your favorite TV series as it is really quiet. It could do with a book or magazine rack though and this was one of the few features we found lacking.
All in all it was a sturdy recumbent exercise bike, with all the basic features that we would require, the assembly was pretty painless as well!
Reading through consumer reviews on the Marcy Recumbent Mag Cycle the majority of users gave the bike excellent ratings and were very pleased with their purchase. The only complaint we noted from a very few reviewers was that they had parts missing from the package when it arrived and had to wait for a replacement. You can read more reviews of the Marcy Recumbent Mag Cycle here.
As mentioned this happened to a small minority of users and we would suggest if you do buy this product buy through a trusted retailer like Amazon who have a great returns policy as well as offering free shipping and the most competitive prices for home gym equipment.
Next up we have a well know brand and model;
Well why not watch the video first!
So now you’ve watched the video you can see it has a lot of great features and if you are suffering with any back problems then look no further as this will give you great support.
From the start we found unpacking and assembling really easy with all the tools you need contained.
Using the recumbent bike, we found it really quite so it was great for watching TV or listening to music. The seat was a bit uncomfortable, we imagine that this is because of its unique design to support users with bad backs. Fortunately we don’t suffer from back problems and found a cushion elevated the uncomfortableness .
The Schwinn A20 Recumbent Exercise Bike also comes with a built in fan but it doesn’t give a lot of benefit, if you need a fan you can buy one for a few dollars anyway.
Reading through the customer reviews on this recumbent bike, the majority were positive the only minor complaints were those we pointed out about the seat being a little uncomfortable and the poor fan. The only other problem seemed to be with people finding the console difficult to read as it had no back-light.
All in all you are getting a great budget recumbent exercise bike, Schwinn are a trusted brand and though it hasn’t all the bells and whistles of more expensive models it’s got enough features to give you a great home workout without breaking the bank!
So on to our last contender for the best budget recumbent exercise bike;
This matched the previous two models we’ve refused in that it was astonishingly quiet so their was no problem watching TV again.
The Recumbent exercise bike comes with all the functions you need for a good workout. This is a well built machine that has the quality you’d expect from a top brand name like Stamina.
One think that users did comment on was that this was a really good recumbent exercise bike for bigger people as it has a weigh limit of 300lbs and it was also praised for its sturdiness. So again if you are bigger person and concerned that the other machines might not be sturdy enough for you to workout on, go with this model.
So the Best Recumbent Exercise Bike on a Budget Winner is…..
So that’s the Recumbent Exercise Bikes reviewed and to be really lame here we can’t pick a winner!
what we would say is that we’d recommend the best recumbent exercise bike for heavier users would be the Stamina and the Schwinn would be the best if you have back problems.
If your on a really tight budget the best recumbent exercise bike at the lowest price is the Marcy – Happy cycling!!
